Remember when your Mom used to say, “There are starving children in China who would love those vegetables”? It’s true. Hunger and starvation are a huge problem worldwide. It kills more people each year than AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis, making it the world’s #1 health risk. People who are homeless or are from developing countries aren’t only victims of hunger. If you take a look here in the United States, you’ll see that hunger affects a number of people here as well.
Feeding the hungry is a challenge, but it can be done. Due to the magnitude of this mission, it is essential that we get as many people as we can to help.
There are lots of organizations that you can work with who are fighting hunger and starvation on a not-for-profit basis. They accept money and food donations to feed the hungry and also give them the tools they need to have substantial food moving forward. This could include giving them animals or teaching them how to garden.
If you would like to help fight starvation, donate now. It will go a long way to help feed needy families.
